Del Sol – Out with the old in with new!

So my father has been working long hours on this car to get everything ready and fabricated. Today I helped him get the tiny d15 SOHC out and dropped the B18B1 DOHC motor in. The process was fairly smooth for our first B series into a car that doesn’t come factory. Still a lot of work to do but its coming along very quickly.

Few things left to do:

  • Front suspension
  • Shift Linkage Fabrication
  • Connect hoses and censors
  • Hang new exhaust and header
  • Install new Fiberglass hood
  • Install Ricer Wing (Just because…. :P ) p.s. Ian you better get here soon or I’m putting it on!
  • and some odds and ends
Here are some pictures from the pull and drop, and some random pictures.

OMG!!! HONDA PARTS!!!

Figured I’d show you guys what this project has progressed into.

These are just random shots of all the stuff we’ve acquired for next to nothing. Just further shows that one man’s junk is another mans race car…

Getting ready for the B18B1 Swap into the Del Sol

Got a lot going on over here @ Toxic Racing.

My Father has been working his thumbs off….. Literally……  He is now in the process of getting the new motor prepped and ready to be dropped into the Del Sol, as well as getting that P.O.S. 1.6L out of the sol.

Here are few pictures of the motor that’s going in and the one that’s coming out. :)

Del Sol Rear Suspension Upgrades.

With the abundance of integra’s around …. My father got the rear suspension in the del sol upgraded.  He wanted me to mention that this was not something that just anyone can convert, however we anticipate it be a worthwhile upgrade. This is something you will want to leave to a seasoned mechanic or certified professional.

Here are some shots!!!

The time has Come! Project Del Sol is fully underway!

Over the next few days I hope to bring you several new images and my father will be doing a B18B1 swap into the Del Sol live on cam.

Here are some pics of the car.

Quick update.

Just wanted to throw an update out.

My father has been getting integra’s left and right off craigslist. Originally we were going to use the new wrecked teg as a donor car, but after a few hours of tinkering around my Dad got it back on the road. He took it to a friend to have the wreckage damage pulled which was not too expensive because we didnt shoot paint on the door fender or hood.

We are going to be moving forward with the del sol b18b1 swap soon. Be sure to follow us on twitter for updates and live cam times.

See you soon! :)

Project Del-Slow donor car.

My Father found a deal on an wrecked integra with under 130k miles on it. The car has a cherry b18b1 that runs VERY well! We got this car with one of two intentions. We were going to take it back to our body guys to get a quote on the body pull then decide if we wanted to flip it or use it as the donor car. After speaking with our guys, we decided to use it as a donor car and part out the leftovers. At this point we are looking at a rear disc brake conversion for the del-sol as well as a motor swap.

Here are some pics of the Integra.

Getting the block ready to be shipped out!

Got the block up on the stand to get it ready to be shipped out!
